Trainer Phil Kirby is anticipating viewing his two secure stars Best Ville Ben along with Lady Buttons kick off their attempts on Charlie Hall Chase at Wetherby.
Top Ville Ben is a double winner over fences at the West Yorkshire circuit and is being aimed itself, with rounded off his novice campaign with an attempt to finish third behind Topofthegame and Lostintranslation .
The admirable Lady Buttons has won 12 races for Kirby and is set to bidding for a fourth victory at Wetherby in the Mares’ Hurdle – a race she won last season and finished second in supporting La Bague Au Roi in 2017.
Kirby told Sky Sports Racing:”They are both doing tons of cantering. They haven’t done any work but they wouldn’t be a thousand miles away. They look well and they’ll both be directed in the Charlie Hall assembly.
“Best Ville Ben will operate in the Charlie Hall and Lady Buttons will won in the Future race she won every year. Everything has gone to program so far, we’ve just got to maintain it like that.
“Buttons can perform a very similar issue to last year – she will start off at Wetherby, and possibly go to Newbury and then go to Doncaster for all those Listed races along with the large prize-money. We’ll see where we finish up at the conclusion of the season.
“For Top Ville, the strategy was always to visit the Charlie Hall to begin with. We are going to see how he gets , but if he is aggressive, he could always go to Newbury for your Hennessy (Ladbrokes Trophy).”
