Matteo Darmian has left Manchester United to sign on a student contract for Parma.
Even the 29-year-old, who signed at 2015 from Torino, leaves Old Trafford following making 92 appearances for the club.
United are expected to receive #3.6m out of the bargain, and have added a sell-on clause.
Darmian, who has 36 caps for Italy, played only three occasions following the arrival as manager in December 2018 of Gunnar Solskjaer to United.
The versatile defender also failed to make the squad in any of United’s first four matches of the year.

Manchester United were held to a 1-1 draw by 10-man Southampton on Saturday, meaning they’ve only won 2 of their last 13 matches in all competitions. Nick Wright was at St Mary’s to observe a functionality that exposed the flaws from the squad of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
