Castleford and Huddersfield have extended a swap deal involving utility back Jordan Rankin and second-rower Joe Wardle.
Rankin moved on loan with Wardle returning to Huddersfield within their bargain, in the start of the 2019 Super League year, and both players will stay with their clubs to get 2020.
Tigers coach Daryl Powell is thrilled to secure the help of Rankin, a 27-year-old Australian who also scored 11 attempts and 18 goals in 22 appearances in 2019.
“Jordan was outstanding for us this season and we’re delighted to have him on board moving forward,” Powell stated.
“He’s been a excellent player for all, especially when he moved to full-back, therefore I’m absolutely delighted he will be with us and I am convinced he will reach further heights as a player at the Tigers.”
Rankin said:”I can’t tell you that the last time I have been as happy playing for a group as I am now playing for Cas.”

“I am thrilled to be playing with the Giants at 2020,” Wardle said.
“I’m excited to return at a club with my brother and observe his development in addition to work hard for the side again.”
