Joe Joyce was ordered to face Marco Huck to the vacant European Commission title.
The 34-year-old could expand his unbeaten record to 11 strikes against Huck, a former WBO cruiserweight champion, together with purse bids arranged for October 10, when a deal cannot be reached between both fighters.
Agit Kabayel was the previous champion, but decided to vacate the belt after signing a promotional deal.
Joyce continues his career, having already promised the Commonwealth belt in only his fourth bout, and that he defeated former world title challenger Bryant Jennings on issues in his last struggle in July.
After failing to regain his WBO belt in a stoppage loss to Oleksandr Usyk in the quarter-finals of the World Boxing Super Series huck has moved up.
Usyk after he takes on October 12 on Tyrone Spong in Chicago, himself will formally join the division, live on Sky Sports.
