Week 6 of this college football program kicks off on Thursday night with a couple of games. If youre able to connect it with a large game, East Carolina along with temple is the biggest game of the day. It is only because South Alabama and Georgia Southern isnt going to move. I done well on a few of those arbitrary, lower tier games throughout the week, so draw them on.
Temple and East Carolina are equally above .500 going into Thursday. This season is very living for both of these. With respect to East Carolina, they have not beaten anyone, though. Their win was last week against Old Dominion on the road.
Temple have dropped over Maryland and Georgia Tech, therefore they have a few games to truly feel good about. A week, ECU did triumph as underdogs on the road against Old Dominion. The Owls go with a record of 3-1, while ECU are at 3-2 night into Thursday. Temple have been a nationally ranked team not too long past.
It had been in 2015 if Temple played Notre Dame having a chance at becoming a major contender at the FBS. They ended up losing this match, and Temple had been on a downslide much ever since. The Owls have not recovered from that match and have not been too much of a hazard since. Last calendar year in any event, Temple did go awry. It didnt go well in a loss to Duke, however.
Anthony Russo is back at quarterback for the 2nd consecutive season, so that helps give Temple a sign caller that is serviceable. Russo was up and down together with 14 touchdowns and 14 interceptions, therefore it was not a good year for him. However Temple has somebody competent to run the crime. We can not say that for East Carolina with Holton Ahlers. Head below for our free Temple vs. East Carolina select.

Anthony Russo has come out shooting at 2019 with 10 touchdowns and 6 interceptions in the season for Temple. So, hes only 4 touchdowns away from matching his total from last year. With 1,071 passing yards, he is getting near half of the yardage he tossed in 2018 with 2,563 yards. He has led the Owls into a 433 metres per game. That is good for 49th at the FBS. The most exciting player on the offense has to become ReMahn Davis, though.
Davis is a newcomer playing like a grownup in the backfield for the Owls. Hes coming from a 135-yard 2-touchdown campaign against East Carolina last week. Davis has rushed for 346 yards on a 5.8-yard average per carry. East Carolina are 68th in the nation with 151.4 yards surrendered a match. Also keep in mindthe Pirates havent played a good running group . Temple are great, but Davis should nonetheless be able to find running lanes.
The ECU defense is that the least of the concerns, though. The Pirates are anemic with Holton Ahlers conducting the offense. Ahlers has completed only 54.1% of his passes and has passed for 4 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. Hes had to problems leading this team to points, with just 21.5 points scored per match for 111th in the country. Have been NC State and Navy.
East Carolina were conducted off the area on both matches. Them popped with a score of 34-6 and 42-10 from Navy . Their win was 48-9 vs Gardner Webb. Not the competition. Another win of theirs this season came from William & Mary. Temple would be their greatest win so far.
Meanwhile, the Temple have wins over Maryland and Georgia Tech. Their defense has been strong with just 17.3 points allowed per game. Notably, their secondary has been leading the way, permitting only 151.3 metres per game across the atmosphere. That is probably to be the gap in this matchup against a futile passing attack of East Carolina.
Im not likely to get suckered in with the house dog in this , although at first glance, those points all look appealing. Temple need to be in a position to control the pace of the game Thursday night and are far better. This is not Chris Johnson ECU or even Gardner Minshew. Ahlers is currently going to find it tough to find the ball downfield about the Temple D using consistency. Look to pull away late to get a win.
