Salford Red Devils’ Lee Mossop states that their game against Wigan Warriors in the Super League play-offs is your”perfect game” for these.
They finished third and procured their spot however, following a successful year under the guidance of trainer Ian Watson although many tipped Salford for relegation at the start of the season.
Prop Mossop, that proceeded from Wigan, says it’s the game for them since they look to create the semi-finals.
He explained:”We’re full of confidence at the minute. This week we have got and it is the perfect game for us.
“They’ve been here each year, they are controlling winners, and they understand how to win these matches. It is going to give us a great idea of where we’re at.
“Although we are not disrespecting themwe’re very confident going up against them.”
Until it was confirmed on Friday with a narrow victory against Hull A win against Leeds Rhinos a few weeks back all-but confirmed their spot from the play-offs.
Despite a shaky start to this season, they have some momentum and therefore so are targeting the Grand Final.
Mossop explained:”We are obviously very pleased where we’re but not happy enough yet. We want to keep moving into these play-offs where it takes and see.
“At the onset of the year we were getting beat by 2 points, four things, and we simply could not put our finger on the reason why.
“We thought that if we establish our targets we can challenge most teams but it just wasn’t happening.
“Luckily enough, we have managed to turn it about. We are on a good run and, with every match, we are getting more and more confidence.
“In the adversity we’ve faced this season, the little squad we had, and the fiscal things behind the scenes – it’s all leading to this fairytale ending”
