Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti says he’s”shocked” by the country of the dressing rooms following renovation work in the Stadio San Paolo.
The Serie A side played their first two matches of the year.
Napoli host Sampdoria on Saturday, prior to the visit Liverpool on Tuesday from the Champions League.
“You can build a house in two months, however they were not capable of renovating that dressing rooms,” said Ancelotti.
On Twitter, Napoli posted a video on Thursday showing the unfinished dressing rooms using scaffolding still in place sockets unfinished and sinks overlooking.
In a statement on the club site, Ancelotti added:”I’ve seen the state of the vanities at the San Paolo. There aren’t any words. As has been promised, I accepted that the club’s request to perform with the first two matches to enable the job to be finished.
“Where are we now supposed to get changed for the games against Sampdoria and Liverpool? I’m shocked at the incompetence of the folks in charge of the work.
“How can the area, municipality and commissioners don’t respect the obligations that were made? It smacks of discount and also a scarcity of a bond with all the team of the city. I am dismayed.”
In quotes reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, architect Filomena Smiraglia said:”I’m baffled by the statement by Ancelotti.
“We had a visit to the dressing room by the Napoli vice-president Edoardo de Laurentiis, who complimented us in the front of the employees for the work”.
But this fact has been contested by Napoli, that said:”Napoli denies that De Laurentiis praised architect Filomena Smiraglia on the redevelopment work about the San Paolo dressing rooms.”
Carlo Perego out of Tipiesse, who carried out the functions, said:”We are not late, indeed we’re ahead on times.”
