Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward says asserts non-football individuals take significant football decisions in the Old Trafford club area myth andan insult.

He added:Weve expanded our recruiting department in recent years and we believe this now runs in a very efficient and effective way.
Player decisions and recommendations are worked on by this department and from the first-team manager and his team, not from senior management.
Woodward has come under fire lately, although the clubs owners, the Glazer familymembers, were the field of supporter discontent throughout the defeat at Newcastle on 6 October.
