Even the Los Angeles Chargers have declared that tight end Hunter Henry suffered a tibia plateau fracture to his left knee.
According to the group, Henry will last to be assessed and the timeframe for his return has not been determined. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Henry’s injury is expected to sideline him.
With Henry out, Virgil Green will take on an enlarged role for the Chargers. They have Sean Culkin in the place.
It’s another injury blow for Henry, who overlooked the 2018 regular season with a torn ACL. He returned to play at the Chargers’ playoff loss to the New England Patriots.
The Chargers are without security Derwin James, who’s facing out three months after suffering a stress fracture in his fifth metatarsal during practice .
Pro Bowl running Melvin Gordon also remains absent as he attempts a new contract.
